We hire slowly and carefully.
Lizard Investors is a small, employee-owned firm. When we hire, we are not filling a seat — we are adding someone who will shape how the firm thinks and operates for years to come.
Built differently from the ground up
Every member of the team is an owner. There are no absentee principals, no outside investors, and no misaligned incentives. When the firm does well, everyone does well — and everyone knows it.
We are deliberately small. That means no siloed roles, no coverage quotas, and no bureaucracy. Everyone contributes to research, everyone has a view, and everyone is expected to push back.
We measure success in years, not quarters. The same applies to how we hire — we take our time, look for exceptional fit, and expect the people we bring on to grow with the firm.
Beyond the résumé
Not just investing in general — specifically the quirks, inefficiencies, and structural differences of international and emerging market equities.
We work in markets where data is incomplete, accounting standards vary, and the right answer is rarely obvious. Intellectual honesty under uncertainty is non-negotiable.
We debate ideas openly and expect disagreement. But the goal is always the best outcome for the portfolio, not being right.
We don't separate 'investment people' from 'business people.' Everyone here thinks about both.
No open roles at this time.
We are not actively hiring right now, but we are always interested in exceptional people. If you believe in what we are building and want to be on our radar for the future, we would like to hear from you.
